directed" approach to establishing & documenting needs associated with
catastrophic injury will provide an optimal outcome for the injured party. This
optimal outcome is achieved by producing a comprehensive, realistic and accurate
life care plan in an uncomplicated, narrative format.
Rehabilitation, personal independence and a sustainable quality of life are the
most frequently stated goals after suffering a catastrophic injury. Physical
medicine and the rehabilitation physician (Physiatrist) offer the key to attaining
these goals. The physiatrist heads a rehabilitation team consisting of rehabilitation
nurses, therapists, counselors as well as other
physician specialists which provides the injured party with a unique "inter-disciplinary,
